The saddle, in combination with the handlebar and pedals, is one of the three power transmission elements between rider and bike. However, unlike the handlebar and pedals, the saddle must absorb the greatest burden; after all, it bears almost the entire body weight of the rider. Even minimal bumps on the road or terrain cause impacts that must be cushioned by the saddle for the buttocks and spine. Not protecting from these conditions causes fatigue and potentially pain and injury. For many years, spring-loaded saddle and seat posts have been used to counteract the strain of riding. However, most standard suspension systems are inadequate, and have low durability.
Today, parallel-suspension seat posts are state-of-the-art. They have a short response time to provide optimal cushioning. Such seat posts are an important component to ensure the optimal ride: with perfect cushioning you can endure long trips on uneven surfaces without tiring too early, and protecting the buttocks and spine.
Our parallel suspension seat posts G.1 are among the best on the market. They are available in many different diameters and lengths to fit almost any bicycle.
Of course we have many accessories for our seat posts. For example, there is a wide range of spring elements customizable to the rider's weight from 45 up to 150 kilograms (100 to 330 lbs.).
